FIRST CAREER DAY INC. AT PLAINVIEW OLD BETHPAGE JFK HIGH SCHOOL

On April 17, 2024, Plainview Old Bethpage JFK High School hosted its first Career Day Inc. program. The program received an overwhelmingly positive reception from the students and faculty alike, setting a strong precedent for future collaborations.
The program catered to 10th and 11th graders, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore a diverse range of career paths. Students engaged in enlightening discussions and activities spanning various fields, from science to the arts.
The program featured two distinguished keynote speakers:
- Josh York, Founder and CEO of GYMGUYZ
- Maria Conzatti, Chief Administrative Officer at Nassau Community College
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ms. Conzatti was unable to attend. Stepping up to the plate, our Executive Director, Beth Bucheister, delivered a powerful and motivating keynote address to the 11th-grade students, emphasizing the importance of career exploration and personal development.
From engaging small group sessions to a vibrant networking luncheon, the students had an enriching experience, gaining essential tools and insights for their future careers. The interactive sessions allowed students to connect with professionals from various industries, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of different career paths.
